WELCOME

Thank you for your interest in New Lease on Life Bodywork.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist located in Chattanooga, TN, I help women in all stages of life with chronic pain, physical trauma, and pre- and post-surgery support. The work I do is gentle, non-invasive, and safe for pregnant women.

I invite you to Get a New Lease on Life and book a session today!

I am a Practitioner Member of Ortho-Bionomy® and a Certified Holistic MLD (Manual Lymph Drainage) Practitioner. The work I do is tailored to each individual’s needs.

At the intake clients describe the discomforts and injuries that led them to me, and what attempts the client has made to resolve those issues. I find out where, when and in what situations the client notices the discomfort or pain, and what makes it increase or decrease. Then I proceed with a conversation with their body and nervous system by assessing range of motion, noting areas of restriction, palpating indicator points, and exploring responses from the body.

What clients find surprising is that work may need to happen in areas other than where pain is located. For that reason and others, in most cases Ortho-Bionomists work with the entire body rather than focusing on a specific painful area.

Client self-care is an important element of the work, which can consist of helpful exercises they can use at home, observation of their gait while they walk, and suggestions that may be beneficial, like postural changes to reduce strain to the body and other related areas. â€‹

My clients are people who have chronic (long-term) or recent injuries or traumas that impact their lives. Conditions may stem from over-use at work or home, surgery, athletic injury, or lifestyle effects, such as sitting at a computer workstation. Some clients come for a relaxing tune-up for the full-body.
